Our Story
The Boar’s Head has been a cherished part of Birmingham’s history since its origins in 1793, originally built as an inn by a local family. A symbol of British heritage, it was restored and relocated in the 1800s to its current site, evolving into a beloved pub that celebrated tradition and community.
In 2010, local entrepreneurs reimagined this iconic venue, transforming it into the Boar’s Head World Buffet—a dynamic, multi-international restaurant offering a unique dining experience.
Today, Our newly refurbished venue is a celebration of flavors, cultures, and innovation. With over 100 dishes crafted by highly trained international chefs, the buffet offers something for every palate. Indulge in the finest global cuisines, from India’s aromatic Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh to Italy’s classic Pepperoni Pizza and Great Britain’s beloved Sunday Roast Carvery. Our live cooking stations, including the much-loved Masala Dosa and street food like Pani Puri, ensure every bite is freshly prepared just for you.
Behind this transformation are Chef Ruchika and Sal, a husband-and-wife duo with over 50 years of combined experience in hospitality, having worked with renowned brands like Las Iguanas and TGI Fridays. Partner, and Head Chef Shailendra Kotiyal, bringing 26 years of culinary expertise, including his signature Caribbean Goat Curry, a favorite among our regulars. Together, they have redefined dining with a focus on quality, innovation, and unforgettable flavors.
The venue now boasts a stunning interior redesign, accommodating up to 350 guests across three unique seating areas and the luxurious Indian and English rooms for private events. We also offer free parking for approx 90 car park spaces. Our fully licensed bar complements the dining experience with classic cocktails like Blueberry Martini and Fruit Bellini, alongside a selection of beers, spirits, and eclectic drinks.
